Automatic and Safe Operation
The short line integrates the decoiler, straightener, and feeder into one system, enabling easy installation and operation for quick transition to mass production.
A coil threading support device allows smooth insertion of metal coils into the straightening section, after which automatic feeding starts. Operators can control coil loading, uncoiling, straightening, and feeding via a single touch screen panel.
Equipped with an international brand electronic control system and self-inspection procedures, it ensures high operational safety, meeting modern production needs. The HE compact line also features a very low failure rate and easy maintenance.
In conclusion, more press workshops are replacing loop lines with compact coil feed lines to meet higher safety standards.
Space-saving Line Structure
Conventional coil lines are 10 meters or longer, while this short line reduces the required workspace to 5 meters, saving significant space. For thin material feeding, the line length can be as short as 3.2 meters.
Precision Straightening Performance
The compact coil feed line synchronizes the decoiler, straightener, and feeder. Its PLC closed-loop control system ensures high servo feeding accuracy.
Additionally, it is equipped with high-quality straightening rollers, back-up rollers, and worm gear straightening adjustment, making it suitable for a wide range of metal coil processing applications.
Above all, the compact coil feed line is essential for high-strength steel stamping in automotive, construction, aerospace, and electrical appliance manufacturing.
Features of compact coil feed line
Coil Car of the Coil Feed Line
The coil car assists in loading metal coils onto the uncoiler spindle, featuring a wear-resistant surface and four baffle arms to prevent coil tilting.
A hydraulic cylinder drives coil lifting (equipped with a pressure maintaining valve for smooth ascent), while horizontal movement is powered by a hydraulic motor with a throttle valve for speed control.
Operation is controlled via movable handles or a touch screen panel; limit switches and devices prevent offside movement.
Coil loading centering relies on visual alignment, with scales on the machine body for reference.
Decoiler of the Coil Feed Line
The spindle is a key component of the uncoiler, and HE uncoiler spindles offer excellent load-bearing capacity and fatigue resistance.
Unlike conventional band brakes, the compact system’s mandrel brake uses a pneumatic disc brake for more precise braking.
The decoiler mandrel is driven by an AC motor with a frequency converter; transmission is via a variable frequency motor paired with a double-row, large-pitch chain.
A coil pressing arm with a polyurethane rubber wheel applies pressure to the coil, preventing strip loosening during uncoiling. It is cylinder-driven and touch screen-controlled for opening/closing.
Coil guide limits consist of two free-rotating non-motorized rollers: the inner roller has a fixed angle, while the outer roller is cylinder-closed after coil loading. The distance between rollers is adjustable to match coil width.
Coil Threading Support of the Coil Feed Line
The coil threading support device facilitates smooth strip feeding into the straightener, comprising a swing arm and two inlet rollers.
The swing arm is cylinder-driven and touch screen-controlled; its upper roller and the bottom roller (power-shared with the straightener) undergo special sandblasting to clamp strips tightly without surface damage.
Straightener Feeder of the Coil Feed Line
This part includes 7 straightening rollers, 2 feeder rollers, and 2 groups of back-up rollers.
All rollers are made of Gcr15 high-carbon chromium bearing steel with hard chrome-plated, ground surfaces, reaching HRC60±2 hardness.
HE conducts 100% pre-assembly inspection to ensure roller radial runout is within 0.01mm.
Straightening rollers: Driven by side gears (ISO 6 precision standard), 7 in total (4 upper/3 lower), supported by deep groove ball bearings
Back-up rollers: 2 groups, supported by needle bearings
Pinch rollers: 2 pieces
Hydraulic Shear (Option)
The electric hydraulic trim shear cuts coil edges, heads, and tails via four-side scissors for smooth results. It can also cut strip loops to enable quick repairs if material cracks in stamping dies.Automatic Lubrication Unit (Option)
Pre-stamping steel strip lubrication protects stamping dies. HE’s automatically controlled lubrication device features an oil recycling system to reduce costs and prevent leakage; wool felt or rubber rollers are selectable for different materials.Coil Tailout Support Bracket
When there is significant space between the coil feed line and stamping dies, the bracket prevents vertical strip movement, ensuring smooth delivery to the press die. Its length is adjustable to fit different die dimensions.
